Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Baseball team is set to open Skyline Conference play this week with doubleheaders against St. Joseph's-Brooklyn and Purchase. Live Stats and Video will be available for Saturday's home games scheduled for 12:00 p.m. with Live Stats provided for the road set at the Panthers scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.

Coleman Barnes (New Hampton, N.Y.) enters Saturday's twin bill hitting .417 in 24 at-bats, leading the team with 10 hits and nine RBI. Barnes has ripped three doubles and holds a .542 slugging percentage and a .483 on-base percentage.
Anthony Franco (Franklin Square, N.Y.) checks in with a .304 batting average for the Mount and is tied with
Devin Tait (Staten Island, N.Y.) for the team lead in walks with eight. Franco holds a .469 on-base percentage, leads the team with six runs scored and has driven in four runs.
Dominick Marzigliano (Highland Mills, N.Y.) is batting .296 and is a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen base chances.
Ryan Lutinski (Easton, Conn.) is batting .294 with three doubles with
Robert Brust (Shirley, N.Y.) sporting a .286 batting average for the Knights.
Matthew Borriello (Montgomery, N.Y.) leads the pitching staff with four starts and is working to a 2.50 earned run average. He has thrown a team-high 18.0 innings and holds a 1-1 record with 11 strikeouts.
Liam Horan (Stony Point, N.Y.) has fanned a team-high 15 batters in 13.0 innings with
Brian Gregory (Florida, N.Y.) and
Michael DiGiovanni (Shirley, N.Y.) each recording a save.
Scouting St. Joseph's: The Bears come calling on Saturday with a 2-7 record and have dropped their last three contests.
Louis Lombardi is hitting an even .500 in 22 at-bats for the Bears and has driven in nine runs. Anthony Hernandez has scored with a team best 10 runs and is hitting .407 with six RBI.
Lombardi also helps anchor the pitching staff with 10 strikeouts in 9.0 innings of work, pitching to a 6.00 earned run average. Michael Santoriello has worked a team-high 12.2 innings and holds a 4.97 earned run average.
Recent History: The Knights and Bears have met 13 times since the start of the 2013 season with the Mount holding an 11-2 record. The Mount has won the last eight meetings and has not lost to St. Joseph's since a 10-5 game two loss on April 29, 2017.
Previewing Purchase: The Panthers play host to the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Saturday and begin the weekend with a 5-7 overall record and a 2-0 mark in league play. Purchase has won its last five outings overall.
The Panthers have seven regulars hitting at least .280 led by a .400 mark from Louis Carvell who has driven in a team-high 14 runs. Christian Homa is hitting .372 with a team-high 16 hits, adding 14 runs scored and six RBI.
Myles Scarry and Alex Doskeoz have each won two games on the mound for the Panthers. Doskeoz is 2-2 with a 5.43 earned run average in 20.2 innings pitched with a team-high 18 strikeouts. Scarry holds a team best 3.66 ERA and has fanned 12 in 19.2 innings of work.
