Baseball Travels To Oneonta, Bard

Knights swept CCNY last Friday

Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Baseball team added non-conference road games to its schedule and will travel to Oneonta Friday afternoon and Bard on Sunday. Live Stats and Video will be available for both contests for those unable to attend.
 
At A Glace: Mount Saint Mary swept a non-conference doubleheader from CCNY on Friday and to move to 3-5 overall on the season.
 
Coleman Barnes (New Hampton, N.Y.) and Dominick Marzigliano (Highland Mills, N.Y.) lead the offensive charge with Barnes hitting .467 in 15 at-bats, leading the team with three doubles and six RBI. Barnes is slugging .667 and holds a .526 on-base percentage.
 
Marzigliano is hitting at a .364 clip in a team-high 22 at-bats. He has scored four runs and is sporting a .462 on-base percentage.
 
Anthony Franco (Franklin Square, N.Y.) leads the team with six runs scored with Brandon Nolasco (Chester, N.Y.), Liam Merlin (Reading, Mass.) and Devin Tait (Staten Island, N.Y.) all check in with four runs scored.
 
Matthew Borriello (Montgomery, N.Y.) holds a 2.77 earned run average over a team-high 13.0 innings pitched to lead the pitching staff, including a team-high 11 strikeouts. Liam Horan (Stony Point, N.Y.) has fanned 10 batters for the Mount in 10.0 innings of work.
 
A Look At Oneonta: The Red Dragons enter Friday's contest at 3-7 overall, dropping its last five contests.
 
Sean Liquori leads the offensive attack with a .360 batting average, scoring five times and driving in four runs. Patrick McGee leads the team with nine runs scored and is tied with Jake Barrett with a team-best five RBI.
 
Michael Losak has worked a team-high 13.0 innings on the mound and holds a 2.77 earned run average with 21 strikeouts.
 
Recent History: The two teams have mot met since 2019 with the Red Dragons winning six of the seven previous meetings since the start of the 2008 campaign.
 
Scouting Bard: The Raptors enter a Friday doubleheader with Nichols with a 4-3 overall record and winners of three of their last four overall.
 
Two Raptors are hitting better than .400 with Jordan Myers batting .419 and Justin Fiume hitting at a .409 clip. Jake Stacey leads the team with 10 runs scored, while Jared Toby has driven in a team-best eight runs.
 
Spencer Checkoway has worked 14.2 innings on the mound and holds a 1.84 earned run average to go along with 21 strikeouts.
 
Recent History: The Raptors blanked the Knights 7-0 on March 6, but the Knights have won six of the eight meetings since the start of the 2013 season.
 
What's Next: The Knights play host to Baruch on March 23 before starting Skyline Conference play against St. Joseph's-Brooklyn on March 26.
