At A Glance: Mount Saint Mary finished an abbreviated conference only 2021 season with a 1-3 overall record.

The Knights look to replace First Team All-Skyline Conference selections Anthony Kearns and Matthew Martino with Martino also earning tabbed a USILA Honorable Mention All-American on defense.

Mount Saint Mary welcomes back its top point produced in Brian Esposito (Floral Park, N.Y.) and three of its top four goal scorers from the 2021 squad.

Attack
Esposito highlights the Attack corps following a 2021 season that saw him produce 14 points on the strength of four goals and nine assists on his way to Second Team All-Skyline Conference distinction. Espositio closed out the 2021 campaign with 14 groundballs and 10 caused turnovers for the Knights.

The rest of the attack group includes returners Ryan Olmstead (Millbrook, N.Y.), Matt Wodka (Baldwinsville, N.Y.), Xavier Rodriguez (Hackettstown, N.J.) and Colby Martin (Huntington, N.Y.).

Martin produced four points on the strength of three goals and an assist in 2021 while Olmstead tied for the team lead in groundballs with 17 and added a pair of markers and a helper. Rodriguez tallied twice in his rookie campaign for the Knights.

Midfield
The deepest position group in 2022 for the Mount, the midfield returns 12 players from the 2021 roster.

Mike Travers (Staten Island, N.Y.) is the top returning goal scorer in the midfield, finishing the 2021 season tied for second on the team with four markers. Sean Mueller (Pleasantville, N.Y.) also returns following a steady rookie season that saw him pot two goals in three games played for the Knights.

Brian Schneider (Hicksville, N.Y.) is back for his graduate season after appearing in three of the Mount's four games in 2021 and recording three groundballs. Matt Tellekamp (Oakdale, N.Y.) is also back after registering an assist in last year's shortened season.

Chris Maggio (Valley Stream, N.Y.) and Sean Nertney (Lynbrook, N.Y.) return in 2022 as long stick midfielders with Maggio picking up 12 groundballs in 2021.

Mount Saint Mary will turn to returners Matthew Esposito (Manorville, N.Y.), Sal Gallucci (Massapequa, N.Y.), Frank Mattina (Holtsville, N.Y.), Kaleb Pullis (Selden, N.Y.), Maxwell Green Wright (Central Islip, N.Y.) and Nick Gurello (Selden, N.Y.) for increased rolls in 2022.
