Knights Travel To Yeshiva For Final Regular Season Road Game

Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Basketball team will take to the road for the final time in the regular season Thursday night when it takes on Yeshiva at the Peter Jay Sharp Center on the campus of the College of Mount Saint Vincent. At A Glance: Entering Thursday's matchup with the Maccabees, Mount Saint Mary stands at 19-3 overall and 17-1 against Skyline Conference opponents. The Knights have won their last seven outings and 15 of the last 16 and clinched the top seed in next week's Skyline Conference Championship with an 80-71 win at Manhattanville on Tuesday.
 
Morina Bojka (Prospect, Conn.) continues to lead the Mount in scoring on the season, pouring in 18 points per game on 45.2-percent shooting from the field. Bojka hauls in 8.1 rebounds per game and is good for 2.6 assists and 2.1 steals per contest.
 
Katie Smith (Goshen, N.Y.), on the heels of a career-high 26 points against Manhattanville, averages just shy of 13 points per game for the Mount, connecting on 50.4-percent of her field goal attempts and 39.1-percent of her three-point shots. Smith paces the Mount with 3.0 assists per contest and chips in 2.1 rebounds and just over one steal per game.
 
Annie Keenan (Nesconset, N.Y.) leads the Mount on the glass with 9.5 rebounds per game and contributes 8.1 points, 1.9 assists and 1.6 steals. Erin Smith (Goshen, N.Y.) leads the Knights with 37 three-point field goals while Lauren Desrats (Warwick, N.Y.) is good for 7.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest.
 
Mount Saint Mary enters Thursday's contest scoring 75.7 points per game and shoots 39.5-percent overall, 29.3-percent overall and 64.1-percent from the free-throw line.
 
Scouting Yeshiva: The Maccabees enter Thursday's tilt at 7-13 overall and 5-13 in Skyline Conference play. Yeshiva is coming off a 58-49 loss to the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Tuesday and has dropped six of their last seven contests overall.
 
The Maccabees feature four players scoring in double-figures led by nearly 18 points from Daniella Bessler who adds 9.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.3 steals per game. Danielle Rothman averages a double-double for Yeshiva with 11.4 points and a team-high 11 rebounds.
 
Yuval Nitzan contributes 15.2 points per game and leads the team with 4.5 assists and nearly three steals per night, while Shai Rahamim checks in with 13.4 points, 2.5 assists and 2.4 steals per contest.
 
Yeshiva is good for 60.7 points per game on 36.2-percent shooting overall, a 27.9-percent mark from three-point range and a 65.7-percent conversion rate from the free-throw line.
 
Previous Meeting: The two teams met at the Kaplan Center on February 1 with the Mount pulling away for a 76-52 victory. Mount Saint Mary shot just 31.4-percent from the floor with seven three-pointers, but made seven more field goals than Yeshiva and outscored the Macs 15-6 from the free-throw line.
 
Bojka led the Knights with 23 points, 10 rebounds and four assists with Shannon Phelan (Tappan, N.Y.) coming off the bench to produce a career-high 17 points.
 
Recent History: Including the victory on February 1, Mount Saint Mary is a perfect 20-0 against Yeshiva since the start of the 2007-08 season.
 
What's Next: Mount Saint Mary wraps up the regular season on Saturday when it plays host to Old Westbury on Senior Day.
