Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Basketball team begins a four-game homestand this week when it hosts the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Thursday night at 6 p.m. and The City College of New York on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. Live Stats and Video will be available for both contests. 

At A Glance: The Knights enter Thursday night's game with Mount Saint Vincent holding a record of 4-3 overall on the season, while going 2-1 in conference play. Last time out, the Mount fell on the road in overtime 72-66 against St. Joseph's – L.I. 

Lauren Desrats (Warwick, N.Y.) is the Knights leading scorer, averaging 8.9 points per game. Desrats has also complied four rebounds, two assists, and 1.4 steals per tilt.  

Erin Smith (Goshen, N.Y.) and Katie Smith (Goshen, N.Y.) have both been contributors as well, with the former averaging 8.5 points per night and the latter averaging eight points per contest. E. Smith is good for 2.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists per night, while K. Smith pulls down 3.3 boards and dishes out 2.7 assists per game. 

As a team, the Mount is putting up 68.4 points per game on average, shooting 35.5 percent from the field, 23.2 percent from three, and 61.8 percent from the stripe. 

A Look At Mount Saint Vincent: The Dolphins enter Thursday night's tilt at 3-4 on the campaign, but winless against Skyline Conference opponents at 0-4. Last time out, they lost a heartbreaker to Yeshiva 52-51 in overtime. 

The Mount Saint Vincent scoring attack is headlined by Amber Been, who checks in averaging 15.3 points, 7.8 boards, 3.7 assists, and 3.3 steals per night. Been is shooting 35.9 percent from the field, including a healthy 33.3 percent from three. 

Kira Villegas is second on the team in scoring at 10.3 points per night, while also averaging a team-high 7.9 rebounds per outing.  

Kayla Hanley is second on the team in assists, dishing out three of them on average, to go along with nine points and five rebounds per tilt. 

As a unit, the Dolphins are scoring 54.3 points per game on 34.5 percent shooting from the field but connecting on just 19.4 percent of triples. 

Recent History: Dating back to 2008, the Knights and Dolphins have met 29 times. The Knights own a 22-7 record in these matchups and had won eight straight before falling 64-41 in their most recent game a year ago. 

Scouting The City College of New York: The Beavers will enter Saturday's tilt at 2-4 overall on the season, and 0-1 in CUNYAC play. In their  previous outing, they fell 86-48 to CUNYAC rival John Jay. 

Monae Laing is averaging a double-double for the Beavers, checking in with 11.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game. Laing has also contributed 2.2 assists and 2.0 steals per contest as well. 

Anna Vikatos has stuffed the stat sheet so far, averaging 10.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.2 steals, and 2.7 blocks per game. 

Collectively, the Beavers have scored 45.8 points per game on 28.6 percent shooting from the field, 19.5 percent from deep, and 54.3 percent shooting from the stripe. 

Recent History: This is the first matchup between these two teams in recent history.
