Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Soccer team continues the 2022 schedule this week with conference contests against the College of Mount Saint Vincent and Farmingdale State. The Knights, who will serve as the road team, take on the Dolphins Tuesday evening in Newburgh before traveling to take on the Rams Saturday afternoon. Angie Mainiero (Vineland, N.J.) and
Shannon McGowan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) have each scored three times and assisted on two goals for a total of eight points.
Darla Petricca (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) holds the team leader in assists with three helps to date for the Knights.
Christina Kakavas (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) has started five games in goal for the Knights, including each of the last four, and holds a 2.13 goals against average while making 21 saves.
Last Time Out: The Knights scored a season-high nine goals and featured nine different players with at least one point against Maritime. McGowan led the onslaught with two goals and a pair of assists, while
Maria Baldwin (Patchogue, N.Y.) scored twice and assisted on another goal. Victoria Maffetone (Sayville, N.Y.) and Hansen each closed out the win with a goal and a helper.
Scouting Mount Saint Vincent: The Dolphins have won their last two outings and enter Tuesday's contest with a 5-3 overall record and a 3-1 mark against league rivals.
Emily McCarthy and Alicia Rodriguez have each scored five goals, including two game winners apiece, with McCarthy leading the team with 12 points. Amanda Cotroneo enters the new week with a team-high four assists.
In goal, Javiera Sanchez has started six contests and leads the team with 18 saves. Sanchez is working to a 1.20 goals against average and a .750 save percentage for the Dolphins and has recorded one shutout.

A Look At Farmingdale State: The Rams came into the 2022 season having won the last five conference crowns and enter a Tuesday showdown with St. Joseph's-L.I. at 3-6-1 overall, but a perfect 3-0 against league rivals.
Alyse Rivera and Emily Zeblisky lead the team with five goals apiece, with Zeblisky adding four helpers for 14 points. Julissa Martinez has 12 points to date, scoring twice while dishing out eight assists which ties her for the conference lead in helpers.
Lindsay Jolly and Chloe Kensell have split time in goal for the Rams with Jolly holding a 1.51 goals against average with 19 saves in five games played. Kensell has stopped 41 shots in six games for the Rams, posting a .750 save percentage.
Recent History: The two teams have met 23 times since 2007 with Rams holding a 15-5-3 record over that stretch. The Rams are 4-0-1 over the last five meetings, including triumphs in the conference championship game in 2018 and 2021.
