Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Soccer team opens a two-game week when it hosts Merchant Marine Wednesday night, before travelling to Hamilton to take on the Continentals in a non-conference contest Sunday afternoon. Live Stats and Video will be available for both contests.
At A Glance: The Knights are coming off back-to-back one score conference losses against Mount Saint Vincent and Farmingdale St., so they'll be looking to get back on track this week. Mount Saint Mary enters Wednesday's match at 3-9-2 overall, as well as 3-3-1 against league rivals.
The Knights' scoring attack is led by Kaitlin Hansen (Port Jervis, N.Y.), who has amassed 12 points, including five goals and two assists. Angie Mainiero (Vineland, N.J.) and Shannon McGowan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) have both totaled eight points, with three goals and two assists each.

Previewing Merchant Marine: In their inaugural season, the Mariners are 6-4-1 overall, but 1-4-1 in Skyline Conference action. They got their first conference win last time out, as they defeated St. Joseph's Brooklyn 2-1.
Merchant Marine's offense is led by Morgan Mitchell and Cassidy Jester, who rank first and fifth in the Skyline in goals, with 16 and eight respectively. Natalia Gallardo has posted six assists to lead the Mariners in that category.
In goal, Margaret Ripperger has played the full 90 minutes in all 11 contests, stopping 62 shots with an .838 save percentage.
Recent History: This will be the first matchup between these two teams.
Scouting Hamilton: Hyla Mosher and Caroline Dawson have both racked up nine points for the Continentals. Mosher has posted four goals and an assist, while Dawson has scored twice and assisted on five others.
In goal, Nieve Tonna has gotten the bulk of playing time, posting a 1.60 goal against average and an .810 save percentage.
Recent History: The two sides played for the first time in 2021 and Hamilton took that game 1-0 in overtime at Kaplan Field.
