Knights Look To Extend Winning Streak At Old Westbury

Knights on five game run, unbeaten in conference play

Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Basketball team looks to extend a five-game winning streak and remain unbeaten in Skyline Conference play on Saturday when it travels to Old Westbury. Live Stats and Video will be available for the 3:00 p.m. tip-off at Farmingdale State.
 
Spectator Policy: Per Skyline Conference policy, NO FANS will be permitted at Saturday's contest.
 
At A Glance: Mount Saint Mary enters Saturday's contest with the Panthers at 9-2 overall and a perfect 7-0 in Skyline Conference play. The Knights have won their last five outings, including an 82-20 home victory over Purchase on Monday.
 
Morina Bojka (Prospect, Conn.) is pouring in 14.8 points per game for the Knights through 11 contests on an even 43-percent shooting. Bojka collects 6.5 rebounds per tilt to go along with 2.1 assists and is leading the team with 2.7 thefts per night.
 
Katie Smith (Goshen, N.Y.) is good for nearly 11 points per game for the Knights and paces the team with 3.4 assists per outing. Smith is shooting 46.9-percent overall on the season and connecting on 41.2-percent of her three-point field goals.
 
Lauren Desrats (Warwick, N.Y.) and Erin Smith (Goshen, N.Y.) support the offense with 9.2 and 8.5 points, respectively.  Desrats adds better than two assists and 1.7 steals per game while Smith has knocked down a team-high 21 three-point field goals.
 
Annie Keenan (Nesconset, N.Y.) hauls down a team-high 9.6 rebounds for the Knights and chips in 8.1 points per game, while Toriana Tabasco (Hillsdale, N.J.) provides 6.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists per night.
 
Mount Saint Mary scores 74.5 points per game through 11 tilts and is outscoring opponents by 16 points per outing. The Knights shoot 38.5-percent overall, 30.8-percent from three-point range and 64.6-percent from the free-throw line.
 
Previewing The Panthers: Old Westbury enters the weekend at 4-4 overall and 3-3 in Skyline Conference play. The Panthers had a three-game winning streak stopped in their last outing, a 97-71 defeat at the hands of St. Joseph's-L.I. on Thursday.
 
Ja'nya Flash paces the offense for the Panthers, pouring in 20.5 points per game while hauling in 19.1 rebounds per game. Cherish Francis supports the offensive attack with 17.3 points per game, adding 4.3 rebounds, 2.7 steals and a team-high 6.4 assists per game.
 
Old Westbury begins play on Saturday averaging 66 points per game while shooting 34.6-percent overall, 23.3-percent from three-point range and 58.1-percent from the free-throw line.
 
Recent History: Mount Saint Mary and Old Westbury have met 29 times since the start of the 2007-08 season with the Knights holding a 23-6 record over that span. The Knights have won the last four meetings in the series with the last loss coming in the 2018 Skyline Conference Championship Final.
 
What's Next: The Knights are scheduled to be back in action on Tuesday when they close out the season series with St. Joseph's-Brooklyn.
