Knights Continue Skyline Conference Play Against St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn

Knights coming off road win at Maritime on Wednesday

Newburgh, N.Y. – Coming off a thrilling come-from-behind victory at Maritime on Wednesday, the Mount Saint Mary College Men's Basketball team returns home on Saturday to play host to St. Joseph's-Brooklyn. Tip-off at the Kaplan Center is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. with Live Stats and Video available.
 
Spectator Policy: Per Skyline Conference policy, NO FANS will be permitted at Saturday's contest.
 
At A Glance: Mount Saint Mary enters Saturday's game with a 4-6 overall record and a perfect 2-0 mark in league play. The Knights overcame a 10-point second half deficit on Wednesday at Maritime and closed the game on an 11-0 run to post a 63-56 victory.
 
Chris Yearwood (Red Hook, N.Y.), who tallied 20 points in Thursday's win, leads the Mount's scoring attack with 15.1 points per night. He is shooting 44.8-percent from the field, including a 44.9-percent effort from three-point range. Yearwood adds 2.7 rebounds and just over two assists per outing for the Mount.
 
Connor Cyran (Garfield, N.J.) checks in with an even 10.0 points per game, shooting nearly 47-percent from the field, and adds just over five rebounds per night.
 
Jayden Figueroa (New Windsor, N.Y.) is averaging nearly a double-double in his freshman season, hauling in a team-high 9.9 rebounds per game to go along with just under nine points per night. Ryan Graham (Campbell Hall, N.Y.) is good for just over nine points per game for the Mount in nine contests.
 
Through the season's first 10 games, Mount Saint Mary is averaging 65.8 points per game on 41.0-percent shooting overall, 31.0-precent shooting from three-point range and a 71.8-percent effort from the free-throw line.
 
Scouting St. Joseph's-Brooklyn: The Bears come to town on Saturday with a 1-11 overall record and a 0-4 mark in Skyline Conference play. The Bears' lone win on the season came in an 80-74 victory over Keystone on December 11 and they are coming off a 90-51 loss to Farmingdale State on January 8.
 
Chris Mikos leads the way for St. Joseph's with 20.6 points per game on 49.2-percent shooting from the field. Mikos is the midst of a strong all-around season that is seeing him pull down 9.6 rebounds per game to go along with 4.4 assists per outing.
 
Evan Sirakis scores 11.0 points per game for the Bears and adds 3.1 assists per outing. Richie Simon secures just over eight rebounds per contest for St. Joseph's and chips in 4.0 points per game for the Bears.
 
St. Joseph's puts up 62.9 points per game to date and is shooting 37.6-percent overall, 21.8-percent from three-point range and 59.1-percent from the free-throw line.
 
Recent History: Mount Saint Mary is 6-2 against St. Joseph's since the start of the 2015-16 season and has won the last two meetings in the series.
 
What's Next: Following Saturday's contest, the Mount is scheduled to host the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Tuesday.
