Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Tennis team suffered its second straight loss on Friday following a 5-4 loss to visiting Manhattanville.
Julia Flynn (Naugatuck, Conn.) collected a singles win for the Knights at the fourth position.
Mount Saint Mary scored three of its four wins in the contest via default with Flynn posting the lone win from a player on the day. She scored a hard fought 7-5, 6-2 win over her opponent from Manhattanville and in the process moved to a perfect 4-0 in singles play on the season.
Friday's loss drops Mount Saint Mary back to the .500 mark at 2-2 both overall and in Skyline Conference play. Next up for the Knights is a trip to St. Joseph's-L.I. on Sunday. First serve with the Golden Eagles is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
