Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Men's Basketball team returns to action Saturday afternoon and hits the road for the first time when it travels east on I-84 to Western Connecticut. Tip-off in Danbury, Conn. is set for 1:00 p.m. with Live Stats and Video available for those unable to attend the contest.

At A Glance: Mount Saint Mary enters the weekend at 0-1 overall on the young season following a 75-68 home loss to Lehman in its season opener on Tuesday.
Ryan Graham (Campbell Hall, N.Y.) finished the night 5-for-9 from the floor, 2-for-4 from three-point range and 5-for-8 from the free-throw line on his way to 17 points. He added two rebounds, two assists and two steals for the Knights.
Chris Yearwood (Red Hook, N.Y.) chipped in 10 points and a pair of assists for the Knights with
Paul Sienke (Washington, D.C.) and
Jayden Figueroa (Ne Windsor, N.Y.) leading the team with eight rebounds apiece. Sienke added eight points and Figueroa posted seven tallies.
Connor Cyran (Garfield, N.J.) chipped in nine points and five rebounds and
Mike Dedda (West Chester, Pa.) led the team with four assists to go along with six rebounds and two steals.
Mount Saint Mary shot 38.3-percent from the floor overall and 25-percent from three-point range (8-for-32).
A Look At West Conn: Western Connecticut has won two of its three outings to date and most recently posted an 80-59 road win at Keystone on Wednesday.
Four players are averaging at least 10 points per game through three contests led by 12.3 points per outing from both Wes Nelson and Matthew Turner. Ahmod Privott is good for 11.3 points per contest while Ryan Alkins is averaging an even 10.0 points per tilt.
Nelson is converting at an efficient 66.7-percent from the floor (16-for-24) and Privott has knocked down five of his 12 three-point attempts for a 41.7-percent conversions rate. Privott also leads the team on the glass, hauling down nearly eight caroms per night.
In addition to being one of the team's leaders in scoring, Nelson is also the top facilitator on the squad, handing out just under five assists per game. He and Keeshawn Jones are both good for a pair of thefts per outing for the Colonials.
As a team, West Conn is converting at 40.9-percent from the field and connecting on 25.6-percent of its three-point field goals. The Colonials are forcing 20 turnovers per game through three contests and are converting opponent miscues into nearly 22 points per contest.
Recent History: The two teams last hooked up on November 11, 2019 in Newburgh with West Conn coming away with a 68-58 victory. Privott paced the Colonials with 14 points and eight rebounds, while
Jameson Morton led the Mount with 20 points and four assists.
