Sarah Canzone (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) all scored singles wins for the Knights.
Carnovale, the 2018 Skyline Conference Player of the Year, continued her stellar career for the Mount on Friday, breezing to a 6-1, 6-2 victory at the first singles position. The victory gives her 37 singles victories in her career, all at the first flight, which is good for 10
th all-time in program history.
Canzone picked up where she left off after a nine win freshman season with a hard fought 3-6, 6-0, 10-4 fourth singles victory, with Goetz easing to a 6-2, 6-2 victory at the sixth position for the Knights.
The Mount's lone doubles victory on Friday came at the third flight from the duo of Goetz and senior
Miyanna Vernon (Liberty, N.Y.). The pair battled past Bard's third doubles pair for an 8-6 victory for the Knights.
At 0-1 overall on the season, Mount Saint Mary returns to action on September 14 when it travels to Sage for its first road match of the season. First serve with the Gators is set for 1:00 p.m.
