Julie Roethel (Monroe, N.Y.) has found the back of the net twice for the Knights in 2019, while junior
Brittany Bornstad (Linden, N.J.) paces the Mount with four assists. Classmate
Haley Murphy (Massapequa, N.Y.) has helped on two goals for the Knights and is one of seven players with at least one goal and one assist on the year.
In goal, junior
Cyan Scott (Buena Park, Calif.) has made six starts in goal for the Knights in 2019 and stopped 24 opponent shots. She holds a .571 save percentage and a 3.00 goals against average to date in 2019. Platt has started two games in goal for the Knights and made 12 saves.
Last Time Out: The Mount suffered its fifth straight loss on Wednesday night following a 2-1 non-conference defeat at the hands of visiting Hartwick. Cannella scored her sixth goal of the season for the Mount.
Hartwick got on the board early on Wednesday, posting its first of the game in the 14th minute. Dana Caputo started a free kick that found the head of Tanner Reed who scored her first of two goals in the game at the 13:30 mark of the contest.
The game remained 1-0 until the 61st minute when Cannella brought the Mount event at 1-1 with her team leading sixth tally of the year. She tucked a penalty kick inside the left post at 60:13 to give the Mount its first goal since Cannella scored in the 84th minute against Ithaca on September 7.
Hartwick answered with the eventual game winning goal just over five minutes later. Reed got her second of the game when she found a free ball played into the box by Katie Weaver and touched by Gabrielle Kreppein at the 65:52 mark of the contest to close out the scoring in the game.
Previewing Sarah Lawrence: The Gryphons enter Saturday's contest with a 6-2 overall record and a 2-0 mark in Skyline play. Sarah Lawrence defeated the College of Mount Saint Vincent 1-0 on Wednesday evening.
A total of five players have scored a goal for Sarah Lawrence in 2019 as Niki Dalrymple leads the team with 11. Tiffany McBrayer has six goals and eight assists for the Gryphons and Haley Willibey has added six goals and five assists.
Emily Cornejo and Madison Mertsch have split time in goal for Sarah Lawrence so far this season. Cornejo sports a 1.44 goals against average and has made 23 saves in 436:18 minutes of action and Mertsch has a 1.27 GAA and has made 16 saves in 283:42 minutes of play.
Scouting #RV NYU: The Violets are 6-2 so far this season after defeating fellow Skyline foe Farmingdale State 1-0 on Wednesday.
NYU has 13 players who have found the back of the net this season and three players are tied for the team lead in goals with three. Lila Keltz is the leader in points with nine, followed by Gabriella Funk with nine. Sixteen total players have registered a point for the Violets.
Meghan Marhan has started seven of the eight contest for NYU and has posted a 0.86 goals against average while making 21 saves. She also has posted three shutouts.
