Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Volleyball team continues the non-conference schedule on Saturday when it makes a trip to Montclair State. The Knights and Red Hawks are scheduled to get underway at 12:00 p.m. with Live Video available for those who cannot attend the match.
At A Glance: The Knights snapped a five match losing streak on Tuesday when they swept FDU-Florham in their 2019 home opener. The victory was the Mount's first since topping Alfred State on August 31 in the first of two contests on that day.
Freshman
Grace Riddle (Wantagh, N.Y.) is off to a fast start in her rookie season and leads the Knights in kills with 80 and service aces with 20. Riddle also chips in 88 digs and five total blocks, both good for second on the team.
Senior
Morgan Burke (Ringwood, N.J.) continues her standout career through eight matches in 2019, leading the team in total blocks with 25. Burke is in the midst of a strong all-around season, contributing 51 kills and seven service aces.

Emily Mazzurco (Middletown, N.Y.) paces the Knights with 140 assists and is in the top-five on the team in kills with 23, service aces with 13 and digs with 51. Sophomore
Alyssa Barbara (Islip Terrace, N.Y.) leads the backline for the Mount with 117 digs.
On the Skyline Conference leaderboard, the Mount ranks second in the conference in blocks with 32.5 with Burke leading the conference in blocks per set with 0.86. Barbara sits atop the conference leaderboard with 4.88 digs per set with Riddle sitting seventh in kills with 2.76 per frame.
Last Time Out: The Mount earned a 25-23, 25-17, 27-25 non-conference win over FDU-Florham on Tuesday in its first match at the Kaplan Center in 2019. The Knights finished the night with a 39-34 advantage in kills to go along with the edge in service aces 9-3 and total team blocks 7-0.
Riddle led the way for Mount Saint Mary with 13 kills while hitting .313 against the Devils. Burke put away six kills and added six total blocks, while Mazzurco led the team in assists with 24 and Barbara lifted a match-high 22 digs.
Scouting The Red Hawks: Montclair State enters Saturday's contest at 4-2 overall and is coming off a 3-1 victory over fellow Skyline Conference member College of Mount Saint Vincent on Wednesday. Mount Saint Vincent finished with 11 more kills than the Red Hawks, while Montclair State dominated the service game with a 15-4 edge in aces to go along with a 9-2 advantage in total team blocks.
Carly Waterman leads the offensive attack for the Red Hawks with 83 kills and is second on the team with 78 digs. Megan O'Rourke has handed out 216 assists through the first six matches, while Katelyn Monaghan leads the way with 12 service aces. Maddie Valko holds the team lead with 87 digs and adds 10 aces, while Caitlin Lange has produced 19 total blocks.
What's Next: The Knights open Skyline Conference play on September 18 when they make a trip to league rival Purchase. First serve with the Panthers is set for 7:00 p.m.
