Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Men's Lacrosse team plays the backend of a four game home stand this week when it hosts Manhattanville and Marywood. The Knights and Valiants will square-off at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening with the Pacers coming to town for a 1:00 p.m. face-off on Saturday afternoon.

A pair of juniors lead the Mount Saint Mary scoring attack with
Billy Holland (Pearl River, N.Y.) entering Wednesday's contest with a team-high 10 goals. Classmate
Ryan Maraio (Staten Island, N.Y.) is off to a good start with team-highs in both assists (11) and points (17).
Matthew Martino (Watertown, Conn.) and
Peter Beidl (Clifton Park, N.Y.) anchor the Mount's defense, with Martino pacing the team in caused turnovers with 15 to go along with 18 groundballs. Beidl leads the way in groundballs with 20 and is chipping in with 11 caused turnovers.
Junior
Marco Spagnuolo (Staten Island, N.Y.) has taken 108 of the team's 144 face-offs thus far and has won a team-high 40 while contributing 11 groundballs for the Knights.
In goal, junior
Eli Laikin (Oak Bluffs, Mass.) has started each of the Mount's six games to date and played 297:06 of a possible 360:00. He holds a 13.73 goals against average and a .469 save percentage while making 60 stops. Freshman
Devin Kelley (Hebron, Conn.) has seen time in three contests and has registered 10 saves in nearly 63 minutes of work.
Last Time Out: The Mount dropped its second straight contest on Saturday following an 18-6 loss to visiting Misericrodia. The Cougars outshot the Mount 45-25 in the game and also finished with the advantage in groundballs 37-29 and face-offs 21-7.
Freshman
Michael Darcy (Islip, N.Y.) led the scoring attack for the Mount with two goals and an assist, with Holland potting his team leading 10
th goal of the season. Maraio rounded out the day with a goal and a helper with
Anthony Kearns (Clinton, N.J.) causing three turnovers.
Misericordia was led by five goals and seven points from Patrick Luzzi with Owen Rogers earning the win in goal with five stops.
Laikin finished the day with seven saves in the loss, playing nearly three quarters, with Kelley coming on to make a trio of stops in nearly 18 minutes of work.
Scouting Manhattanville: The Valiants come calling with an unblemished 4-0 overall record and are coming off a 15-12 win over Skyline Conference Preseason favorite USMMA on March 13. Gianni Ciffone led the scoring attack with five goals and two assists, with goalie Jason Fezza stopping 22 shots and picking up 12 groundballs.
Entering the week, Ciffone leads the Valiants in goals with 17 and points with 23, while will Duval checks in with a team-high 10 assists, adding seven goals for 17 points. Nick Delia is putting together a solid early season with eight goals and 12 points for the Valiants.
Sam Hahn sits atop the team leaderboard in caused turnovers with 10 for Manhattanville, while Ciffone and Duval have recorded 15 and 13 groundballs, respectively. Brandon Neff is the team's top face-off man with 24 wins.
Fezza leads the team in groundballs with 16 heading into Wednesday's tilt and holds a .651 save percentage and a 9.23 goals against average while making 56 stops in 195 minutes of action.
The Valiants are outscoring their opponents 53-32, while opponents have won 63 of the 98 face-offs contested.
Previewing The Pacers: Marywood enters the week at 2-4 heading into a Wednesday night contest at King's (Pa.). The Pacers are coming off a 13-11 win over Utica on March 13 in a game that Connor Reed make 13 saves in goal.
Zach Vaughn leads the Marywood scoring attack with 11 goals entering the week and leads four players with at least 10 points on the season with a team-high 15. Matt Mitarotondo leads the team with five assists and has contributed five goals for 10 points though six contests.
Justin Einwechter paces Marywood with 10 caused turnovers on the season, with Zach Bradbury winning 54 face-offs and scooping 32 groundballs. Bradbury holds a .540 face-off percentage and has taken 100 of the team's 144 draws.
Reed has played 309:22 of a possible 367:05 between the Pipes for the Pacers and has made 65 saves. He has recorded a 11.64 goals against average in six games and a .520 save percentage.
Marywood has been outscored by its opponents 79-49 heading into the week and opponents are winning face-offs at a.556 clip against the Pacers.
What's Next: After wrapping up the season-long home stand on Saturday, the Knights will take to the road to play Arcadia on March 27 before returning home to host Wilkes on March 30.
