Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Tennis team returned to Skyline Conference play on Saturday and suffered an 8-1 home loss to visiting Farmingdale State. Senior
Michelle Carnovale (Massapequa, N.Y.) scored the Mount's lone win on the day.
Carnovale continued her standout senior season for the Knights with an impressive 6-3, 6-1 win at first singles. The victory improved her singles mark to 8-1 on the season and marked her third straight singles victory.

Victoria Clay (Saint James, N.Y.) teamed up at first doubles on Saturday and battled hard in a tough 8-7 (3-7) defeat to the Rams' top pair of Kayla Reidy and Anastasia Hoffmann.
Saturday's loss drops Mount Saint Mary back below .500 overall at 4-5 and to the .500 mark in league play at 2-2. Next up for the Knights is a non-conference home match against Vaughn Sunday afternoon. Matches with the Warriors are set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
