Knights Open Conference Play With St. Joseph's-Brooklyn, Mount Saint Vincent

MSMC enters week at 4-4 overall

Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Men's Soccer team plays their first two Skyline Conference contests this week. They first travel to St. Joseph's- Brooklyn on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. The Knights return home on Saturday to face off against the College of Mount Saint Vincent. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.

At a Glance: The Knights are 4-4 on the season after their 4-0 setback to Middlebury on last Tuesday.

Jakup Myrtja is 4-1 in goal this season with a 1.49 Goals Against Average. He has made 22 saves for the Knights.

Connor Doyle continues to lead the team in points with seven (3 goals, 1 assist) and Matthew Wyant is second on the team with six (1 goal, 4 assists). Connor Lynch and Bereket Watts both have two goals for the Mount.

A Look At St. Joseph's- Brooklyn: The Bears are 3-6 this season following their 3-2 victory over Mount Saint Vincent on Saturday.

Kenneth Garcia leads the team in goals with nine and leads the team in points with 20. Mateusz Georges is second on the team in points with 11 (5 goals, 1 assist).

Alejandro Oliveros has started all nine games for St. Joseph's- Brooklyn, posting a 3.56 GAA while making 53 saves.

Scouting Mount Saint Vincent: The Dolphins are 1-6 this season after their 3-2 loss against St. Joseph's- Brooklyn on Saturday.

Derrick Cordova leads the scoring attack with nine points (4 goals, 1 assist). Five other players have each scored a goal for the Dolphins.

Padelis Astrinidis has started all seven games, posting a GAA of 4.05, making 71 saves on the year.
