Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Volleyball team continues its six match road trip when it travels to SUNY Delhi on Wednesday at 7:00. The Knights then travel to Hackettstown, NJ to take on Notre Dame of Maryland at 2:00 and host Centenary at 4:00 Saturday afternoon.
At a Glance: The Knights are 3-8 on the season after splitting two matches at Pratt Institute this weekend. The Mount fell to Pratt, 3-1, and then rebounded to sweep Rosemount 3-0.
Alex Klesin led the way with seven kills and 11 digs while the Knights hit .214 as a team in the victory.
Morgan Burke leads the team in kills with 71 on the season as well as blocks with 16. After hitting .286 last week Burke was tabbed the Skyline Conference Player of the Week. Senior
Kim Gries continues to lead the team in assists with 243.
Klaire Wall paces the Mount in service aces with 12 and digs with 107.
A Look At SUNY Delhi: The Broncos are 5-2 on the season after being swept on Wednesday by Southern Vermont.
The trio of Kristen Maslanka, Caitlyn Curcurito, and Taylor Tsastsis lead the attack with a combined 190 kills. Erica Prindle leads the team in assists with 137 and Tsastsis is second with 97.
The Broncos have four players with double digit service aces, and a pair of players with nine apiece. Ashley Hintz leads the team in digs with 103. Whitchney Clersainville leads the team in blocks with 12.
Previewing Notre Dame of Maryland: The Gators are 10-1 on the season after losing their first match of the season to Penn State Berks, 3-2.
Sarah Sweet leads the attack with 120 kills, while Sara Few and Richelle Taganas combine for 329 assists. The Gators have seven players with 10 or more aces with Sweet leading the way with 36.
Mary Marquez leads the team in digs with 157. Alyssa Kerns leads in blocks with 35 while Michaila Sheedy is second with 28.
Scouting Centenary: The Cyclones are off to a 0-5 start in the 2018 campaign after being swept by Pratt on Friday.
Katie Alvarez, Giani Montalvo, and Melissa Krueger lead the team in kills with a combined 41. Krueger leads the team in assists with 31. Montalvo leads in aces with 5 as well as blocks with 3.
Alvarez leads the team in digs with 32 while Brielle Gensinger is second with 25.
What's Next: The Knights continue their road trip when they travel to Farmingdale State for their first Skyline Conference match. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on September 25.
