Farmingdale, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Basketball team scored its 11th straight win on Thursday evening, rallying for a 53-48 road win at Farmingdale State. Freshman Katie Smith (Goshen, N.Y.) led the Knights with 13 points.

After being outscored by seven points in the opening period, the Knights won each of the final three quarters. After taking a 6-3 lead on a Smith triple early in the opening period, the Knights did not move in front again until a Jessica Rini (Seaford, N.Y.)basket gave them a 37-36 lead with 3:00 left in the third period.

The Mount fell behind by as many as 14 points in the second frame, but held Farmingdale State to just 19 second half points to pick up the victory. Trailing 48-43 with 7:38 left in regulation, the Knights held the Rams off the board for the remainder of regulation time.

A Bridget Kelly (Farmington, Conn.) jumper pushed the Knights in front 49-48 with 3:23 left to play and four Mount Saint Mary free-throws, including three from Lyndsay Pace (Cranford, N.J.), over the final 91 seconds secured the victory.
