Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Basketball team begins a three game homestand on a five game win streak against Skyline rival Old Westbury on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
At a Glance: The Knights come into the contest on a five-game winning streak after defeating Purchase and Mount Saint Vincent this week. The Mount is 6-2 (4-0 Skyline) this season.
Kayla Cleare (West Hempstead, N.Y.) is the leading scorer with 11.6 points per game and 
Katie Smith (Goshen, N.Y.) is second with 11.0. 
Lauren Desrats (Warwick, N.Y.) chips in 9.3 per contest for the Knights.
Cleare leads in rebounding with 8.5 per outing, 
Elizabeth Limonta (Stewart Manor, N.Y.) is second with 8.3 and 
Annie Keenan (Nesconset, N.Y.) is third with 6.3. Smith leads in assists with 26 and Desrats has 18. 
Toriana Tabasco (Hillsdale, N.J) has the team lead in steals with 12 and Keenan is next with 10. Limonta leads in blocks with seven.
The Mount is averaging 62.8 points per game on 38.4-percent shooting from the field and 27.0-percent shooting from three-point range. The Knights have allowed 53.8 per night on 29.9-percent shooting and 24.6-percent shooting from the three-point line.
Last Time Out: The Mount won its fifth straight game on Thursday night, defeating the College of Mount Saint Vincent 72-45.
Toriana Tabasco (Hillsdale, N.J) led the way with a career-high 14 points for the Knights, adding three steals, two assists and four rebounds. Desrats finished the night with 13 points, three rebounds and two steals and Cleare finished with 10 points, three steals and three rebounds. Limonta had a team-high nine rebounds in the contest.
Mount Saint Mary finished the night shooting 49.2-percent from the field and scored 46 points in the paint. The Mount held Mount Saint Vincent to 27.3-percent shooting and forced 22 turnovers. The Knights scored 24 points off turnovers and converted 21 second chance points.
A Look at Old Westbury: The Panthers are undefeated at 7-0 (2-0 Skyline) on the season following a convincing 76-33 victory over Farmingdale State on Tuesday.
Old Westbury has four players in double figures with Monique Joseph leading the way, averaging 16.3 points per game. Davida Warren averages 13.4 per contest, Charlotte Renker averages 13.1 per night and Micah Browne adds 12.8 per game.
Renker is averaging a double-double on the season, adding 11.9 rebounds per game with her 13.1 points per contest. Warren averages 9.0 boards and Joseph averages 7.6 per night.
Tori Bellings is the leader in assists with 40 while Browne leads in assists per game with 6.6. Joseph leads the team in steals with 32 and Renker leads in blocks with nine.
The Panthers are averaging 83.7 points per game on 44.1-percent shooting from the field and 29.3-percent from the three-point line. Defensively, they are limiting teams to 54.3 points per game on 31.4-percent from the field and 29.9-percent from the three-point arc.
