Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Volleyball team begins a four match stretch with the first two being Skyline contests. First, the Knights host Maritime at 7 p.m. on Tuesday and then host Yeshiva on Thursday at 7 p.m. They will travel to Wayne, N.J. to take on the College of Staten Island at 1 p.m. and host William Patterson at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
At a Glance: The Knights are 10-11 (2-2 Skyline) on the season following a sweep against Nichols and then a straight set loss to Western Connecticut State on Saturday.
Morgan Burke continues leads the team in kills with 159 and
Alex Klesin is second on the team with 130.
Kim Gries continues to lead the team in assists with 491.
Klaire Wall leads in aces with 27 while
Danielle Kralik is second with 22.
Wall also leads in digs with 196, with
Madelyn Barberan being second on the team with 183. Burke also leads the team in blocks with 37.
A Look At Maritime: The Privateers are 4-10 (1-1 Skyline) on the season after being swept by John Jay on Thursday.
Celyna Custodio leads the team in kills with 82 and Abigail Steele is second on the team with 71. Erika Kirchner is the leader in assists with 240. Maritime has five players with ten or more aces on the season.
Steele, Abigail Solomos and Meghan Eagleton all have 90 or more digs this season. Custodio is also the leader in blocks with 12.
Previewing Yeshiva: The Maccabees are 1-5 (0-2 Skyline) on the season after being swept by Old Westbury and Sarah Lawrence on Sunday. They will play John Jay on Tuesday before taking on the Mount on Thursday.
Tehilla Teigman is the leader in kills with 25, aces with nine, digs with 42, and blocks with 10. Batya Schreier leads in assists with 17.
Scouting College of Staten Island: The Dolphins are 10-9 on the year following a sweep of Megdar Evers on Monday. They will take on New Rochelle on Thursday before the Mount on Saturday.
Margaret O'Malley-Rebovich leads the team in kills with 147 and Francesca Castellano is second with 133. Arianna Spears leads in assists with 431. Caitlin Esposito, Castellano, and Spears all have 40 or more aces on the year.
Castellano leads in digs with 221, with Cassidy Iannariello being second with 173. O'Malley-Rebovich also leads in blocks with 40 and Jay-La Guy is second with 35.
Analyzing William Patterson: The Pioneers are 16-1 on the season after sweeping York and Medgar Evers on Saturday. They will take on Rutgers-Newark and Montclair State this week before facing the Knights this Saturday.
Alyson Toman leads with 217 kills and Kendall Caruso leads with 497 assists. Dakota Apicella is first with 29 aces, followed by Christine Griffin who has 27.
Griffin leads in digs with 215 and Chelliah Phillips leads the team in blocks with 42.
What's Next: The Knights return home to take on Bard College in a non-league contest on Tuesday, October 16. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
