Knights Square Off With Maritime Wednesday Night

Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Men's Soccer team travels to Maritime on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. kickoff. They will return home to face off against Farmingdale State on Saturday at 12 p.m.

At a Glance: The Knights are 8-4-1 (4-0-1 Skyline) on the season after drawing with Old Westbury, 0-0 (2 OT) and shutting out Yeshiva, 6-0 last week. The Mount is unbeaten in its last five outings and has not lost a game since a 4-0 defeat to Middlebury on September 18.

Connor Lynch is the leader in goals with five, while Matthew Wyant is the leader in points with 13 (4 goals, 5 assists).

Tyler Rapp has started eight of 13 games, posting a goals against average of 1.55. Jakup Myrtja has started the other five games in net, posting a goals against average of 1.36.

A Look At Maritime: The Privateers are 11-3 (4-1 Skyline) on the season following a 3-2 victory over St. Joseph's Brooklyn on Saturday.

Christopher Tavernese is the leader in goals with nine and Anthony Sblendorio is second with five. Parker Gallt is the leader in assists with seven and Anthony Palazzolo is next with six.

Michael Rodriquez has started 13 of 14 games in goal. He has posted a goals against average of 1.08, making 43 saves.

Scouting Farmingdale State: The Rams are 6-5 (2-2 Skyline) this season after a 1-0 loss to Merchant Marine on Saturday. They will host Yeshiva on Wednesday before taking on the Mount on Saturday.

Kyle Darden is the leader in goals with three while Alex Castano and Thomas Hamel are tied for second with two each. William Grajales is the assist leader with three.

Scott Flores has started 10 of the 11 games in net. He has posted a goals against average of 1.37, making 60 saves on the season.

What's Next: The Knights begin a two game road trip against Merchant Marine on Tuesday, October 16. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:45 p.m.
