Throggs Neck, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Lacrosse team earned its third straight win on Tuesday night with a 17-6 road victory at Maritime. Four Knights scored multiple goals in the game, including 
Morgan Cordes (Sound Beach, N.Y.) who added four draw controls.
 
The Knights opened the game up early on Wednesday, scoring the contest's first seven goals in the opening 9:43. 
Katie Gattoni (Old Tappan, N.J.) scored four straight goals in the first 5:25 of action and added her fifth of the game at the 20:45 mark of the first half between a pair of goals from freshman 
Mikaela Rios (Mastic, N.Y.).
 
Maritime got on the board at the 15:53 mark of the opening period with a goal from Ciara Murphy, before the Knights closed the half with the final five tallies to carry a 12-1 lead into halftime. 
Olivia Green (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) scored twice over the run for the Mount, with 
Christina Ryan (Franklin Square, N.Y.) adding a goal and an assist.
 
Mount Saint Mary finished the first half with a 20-9 advantage in overall shots and a 19-6 edge in shots on goal. The Knights picked up 11 of the 18 groundballs awarded in the opening 30 minutes, while Maritime held a slim 8-6 edge in draw controls.
 
Cordes got the Knights on the board coming out of halftime with her first goal of the game at the 27:48 mark and added her second of the game at 23:50 to give the Knights a 14-2 lead. 
Maggie Pedersen (Glasco, N.Y.), Green and Rios also scored in the second stanza for the Knights.
 
Gattoni finished off the night with a game-high six goals and a groundball, with Rios potting four goals to go along with a caused turnover in the victory.
 
Green closed the win with three tallies, adding a pair of groundballs with Cordes posting two goals, a groundball and a team-high four draw controls. 
Chelsea Henke (Pawling, N.Y.) led the Knights with four groundballs and two caused turnovers, with 
Amanda Clemens (Baldwin, N.Y.) posting an assist and a pair of draw controls.
 
Maritime was led by two goals and three points from Murphy and Cathrine Pfundstein who scored a goal and totaled seven draw controls. Jessica Yee picked up four groundballs and caused three turnovers for the Privateers.
 
Amanda Picillo (Valley Stream, N.Y.) picked up the win in goal with five stops against just one goal allowed in the opening 30 minutes. Carolyn Murphy (Massapequa, N.Y.) came on to make three saves for the Knights.
 
Mount Saint Mary closed the night with the edge in shots 26-19, shots on goal 24-14 and groundballs 18-12, while Maritime won 15 of the 25 draw controls taken in the game.
 
Tuesday's win evens the Mount's record at 6-6 overall and pushes it to 5-2 in Skyline Conference play. The Knights close the regular season on Saturday when they travel to Farmingdale State. Opening Draw with the Rams is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
