Madison, N.J. – Playing for the second time in a week, the Mount Saint Mary College Volleyball team fell on the road at FDU-Florham on Wednesday night in straight sets. The Knights, who received 26 assists from senior
Kristen Maddock (Patchogue, N.Y.), fell by scores of 22-25, 15-25, 18-25.
Maddock led all players in the match with 26 helpers and chipped in with three kills and three digs. Over 16 sets played so far in 2016, Maddock has recorded 108 assists and is averaging just under seven helpers per set for the Mount.
Junior
Julimar Figueroa (Dorado, Puerto Rico) led the Mount with 11 digs and reached double-figures in the category for the third time this season. She has lifted 59 digs for the Knights through five matches and is averaging 3.69 per set. Figueroa also paced the team with three service aces on the night.

Megan Williams (Glenmont, N.Y.) and senior
Angelia Cirigliano (Newburgh, N.Y.) paced the Knights with six kills each, with
Rachel Sabatini (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.),
Morgan Burke (Ringwood, N.J.) and
Nicole Spinelli (Wantagh, N.Y.) all putting away five kills.
The home standing Devils were led by a match-high 11 kills from Lauren Harris who finished a double-double effort with a match-high 12 digs. Courtney Conte closed the night with 21 assists for FDU-Florham in the win.
Overall, the Devils held the advantage in kills 37-31 and total team blocks 3-1. Service aces in the match were even at five apiece.
Wednesday's loss drops Mount Saint Mary to 1-4 overall on the season. The Knights will return to action on Friday when they open the New Paltz Invitational with matches against Stockton and New York University.
