Brooklyn, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Volleyball team swept its way to its fifth straight win on Thursday night with a 25-20, 26-24, 25-22 non-conference road win at Pratt. Junior
Megan Williams (Glenmont, N.Y.) finished the night with a career-high 11 digs.

Mount Saint Mary cruised to a first set win in which it hit a blistering .370, committing just a pair of attack errors. The Knights used a 10-0 run to open a 23-6 lead keyed by five kills and a pair of service aces from
Kristen Maddock (Medford, N.Y.).

The two teams exchanged runs to open the second frame, with Pratt scoring the first four points, the Mount answering with the next five, before Pratt put up the next five to open a 9-5 advantage.

A six point spurt finished off by an
Ally Klesin (Glendale, N.Y.) kill gave the Knights a 12-11 lead and a three-point run with the Mount down 24-23 completed by a
Claire Scully (Bloomfield, N.J.) service ace gave the Knights a 2-0 lead in the contest.

Mount Saint Mary finished off the sweep with the help of a five point run late in the third stanza that gave it a 21-12 lead. Pratt would rip off six straight points to pull to within 24-22, but a kill from
Angelia Cirigliano (Newburgh, N.Y.) held off the Cannoneers and earned the win for the Mount.

Cirigliano and
Rachel Sabatini (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) led the Knights with eight kills each on the night, with Sabatini chipping in with 10 digs.
Morgan Burke (Ringwood, N.J.) put away five kills and posted two total blocks and Williams contributed four winners and 11 digs.

Freshman
Madelyn Barberan (Fishkill, N.Y.) led all players with a match-high 17 digs and Maddock rounded out the night with 16 assists and three of the team's 11 service aces.

Pratt was paced by six kills and a .308 attack percentage from Rachel Goatley and got a team-high 16 digs from Talya Polat. Abby Nagy handed out 12 assists, while Hannah Calderwood led all players with four total blocks on the night.

Overall, Mount Saint Mary finished with a 31-15 advantage in kills and an 11-4 edge in service aces. Pratt held the advantage in total team blocks on Thursday 5-2.

Thursday's win improves Mount Saint Mary to 7-12 overall on the season. The Knights return home on Saturday for a non-conference tri-match with William Paterson and MCLA starting at 11:00 a.m.
