Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Tennis team closed out a three match weekend home stand Sunday afternoon with an 8-1 non-conference loss to Plattsburgh. Freshman
Michelle Carnovale (Massapequa, N.Y.) remained unblemished on the season with the Knights' only victory in the match.
Carnovale pushed her singles record to an impressive 8-0 on the season in her freshman campaign with another victory at first singles for the Knights. Her 6-3, 6-1 victory over the Cardinals' Kaitlyn Healy now gives her eight of the team's 26 singles wins on the season.
Although the Mount only one the first singles match on Sunday, the top doubles pair of Carnovale and

Sunday's loss drops Mount Saint Mary to 3-5 overall on the season. The Knights will continue the 2016 season on Tuesday when they travel to Skyline Conference rival Yeshiva. Match time with the Maccabees is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
