Women’s Volleyball Looks To End Season Strong Against Yeshiva and USMMA

Newburgh, N.Y – The Mount Saint Mary Women's Volleyball team travels to Kings Point, N.Y. for their last regular season games as they take on Yeshiva University at 1 p.m., and United States Merchant Marine Academy at 3 p.m. Live stats and video will be available for those who are unable to attend the game.

A Look At The Knights: The Knights come into this game with an overall record of 14-16, and have a conference record of 6-3. They are currently on a two game winning streak, with those wins coming against Old Westbury and the College of Mount Saint Vincent. Senior outside hitter Rachel Sabatini (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) has recorded 217 kills on the season. Senior setter Kristen Maddock (Medford, N.Y.) leads the team with 552 assists. Freshman libero Madeyln Barberan (Fishkill, N.Y.) is the team leader in digs with 329, and freshman middle blocker Morgan Burke (Ringwood, N.J.) has made 76 total blocks on the season.

Scouting Yeshiva: The Maccabees come into this game with an overall record of 0-16, and have a conference record of 0-9. Senior middle blocker Gavriela Colton leads the team with 83 kills. Senior libero/defensive specialist Shaina Hourizadeh has recorded 175 digs on the season. Junior setter Yael Ghelman is the team leader in assists with 109. Colton also leads the team in total blocks with 20.

Scouting USMMA: USMMA comes into this game with an overall record of 16-8, and has a conference record of 8-1. They are currently on a five game winning streak and are tied for first place in the conference. Junior outside hitter Dominique Pope has recorded 238 kills on the season. Freshman setter Kyleigh Kappas has dished out 736 assists. Senior defensive specialist Gabby Marionakis has made a team leading 233 digs, and Senior middle hitter Jordy Macbeth is the team leader in total blocks with 40.

What's Next: After their last two regular season games against Yeshiva University and USMMA, the Knights will move on to the Skyline Conference Championship tournament which starts on Tuesday, Nov. 1. Location, opponent and time are to be announced.
