Match ResultsFLUSHING, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College women's tennis team (0-1, 0-1 Skyline) suffered an 8-1 loss in its opening match of the season against Yeshiva University (1-1, 1-0 Skyline) Sunday afternoon at Queens College.
The Knights were swept in doubles play to start the day in a 3-0 hole against an improved Maccabees team. Sophomore
Isabella Tartaglione (Pine Bush, N.Y.) picked up the only singles victory of the day for the Knights, defeating Yeshiva's Galila Shapiro at No. 4 singles, 7-6, 6-2.
The Knights will look to bounce back on Friday, Sept. 12, when they host Western Connecticut State University in a non-conference matchup at the Mount Saint Mary College Tennis Courts. The match is set to begin at 6 p.m.
