Match ResultsNEWBURGH, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College women's tennis team (1-5, 0-3 Skyline) took on Sarah Lawrence College (3-4, 1-2 Skyline) in Skyline Conference play for the first time on Friday, falling to the Gryphons, 6-3, on the Mount Saint Mary College Tennis Courts.
The visiting Gryphons grabbed a 2-1 lead after taking points in both first and second doubles to open the match. Junior

Mallory Menneci (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) came out on top in the No. 3 doubles match over Monika Spancheska and Arianna Cooper, 8-2.

Breanna Scott (Highland Falls, N.Y.) picked up the win at No. 1 singles over Autumn Atkinson, 6-2, 6-3, while Hendricks defeated Cooper at sixth singles, 6-1, 6-1. However, the Gryphons grabbed wins at flights 2-5 to secure the 6-3 victory on Friday.
The Knights return to action on Sunday, Sept. 28, when they host the College of New Rochelle in a non-conference match on the Mount Saint Mary College Tennis Courts. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m.
