TROY, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College men's lacrosse team (1-4) was unable to overcome the offensive onslaught of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (4-2), falling to the Engineers, 22-4, Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action at East Campus Stadium.
13 different Engineers scored in Wednesday's matchup, led by Breanainn McNeally, who found the back of the net four times. Scott Crow followed with three scores, adding three assists for a game-high six points. Five RPI players recorded four or more points on the afternoon.

Sophomore
CJ Cardo (Merrick, N.Y.) made the start in net for the Knights, suffering the loss, but stopping 16 shots. The Engineers put four different goalkeepers between the pipes on Wednesday, but Alex Castronovo picked up the win in 15 minutes of play without facing a shot on goal.
RPI fired off a ludicrous 65 shots on the afternoon, while the Knights managed just nine. 38 of RPI's shots were on net. The Engineers were victorious on 23 of the game's 30 face-offs. They also scooped up 47 ground balls to 20 for the Knights.
The Knights will look to bounce back on Saturday, March 22, when they travel to the College of Mount Saint Vincent for their first Skyline Conference matchup of the season. The game is set to begin at 1 p.m.
