Mount Basketball Teams to Celebrate Their Seniors this Weekend

NEWBURGH, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College men's and women's basketball teams will celebrate their respective Senior Days this weekend at the Kaplan Center. The men's seniors will be honored prior to their matchup with Farmingdale State College on Saturday, Feb. 21, while the women's seniors will be commemorated before tip-off against SUNY College at Old Westbury on Sunday.

The men's basketball team will take the time to recognize their seven seniors, #1 Steve Phillips (New Hyde Park, N.Y.), #2 Donte Howell (Baldwin, N.Y.), #3 Anthony Cipriano (Staten Island, N.Y.), #10 Chris Pisciotta (New Hyde Park, N.Y.), #11 Joe Stabach (Staten Island, N.Y.), #23 Joe Henain (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) and #25 AJ Uhl (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.), before Saturday's 1 p.m. tip off against the rival Rams. Over the past four seasons, the Knights have 80 wins and just 30 losses, including a 59-14 record in Skyline play. The team has reached the Skyline semifinals in each of the past three seasons, and will make another semifinal appearance on Thursday, Feb. 27. They were also the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Metro Champions back in 2012.

Three seniors will be honored for the women's team on Sunday prior to the 1 p.m. tip-off. #12 Rachel Perrone (Poughquag, N.Y.), #33 Kaeley Miller (Newburgh, N.Y.) and #35 Jessica Perrone (Poughquag, N.Y.). Rachel and Jessica Perrone joined the team in the second half of the 2011-12 season, while Miller was added to the roster this season. The Knights won the 2012 Skyline Conference Championship, as well as an NCAA Tournament First-Round contest. Last season, they made the semifinals of both the Skyline Conference Championships and the ECAC Metro Tournament.
