PURCHASE, N.Y. – For the fifth year in a row, the Mount Saint Mary College women's soccer team will face off with Farmingdale State College in the Skyline Conference Women's Soccer Championship game. The Rams have won the Skyline Title in seven consecutive seasons. The top-two seeds in the Skyline Playoffs in 2014, the Knights and Rams go head-to-head on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. on the Purchase College Turf Field, as part of the Second Annual Skyline Conference Fall Festival.

In their previous matchup this season on Oct. 18, the Knights and Rams played to a 1-1 draw. The Knights had the game in hand, but Farmingdale State's Ashlee Thompson managed to tie the game in the 88th minute to force overtime and the eventual tie. Both teams finished the season with a 7-0-1 Skyline record, with the Rams taking the top seed by way of the scoring-differential tiebreaker.

The Knights defeated No. 3 The Sage Colleges in Wednesday's semifinal matchup, 6-0, led by junior midfielder Melissa Guillemette's (Branford, Conn.) first-career hat trick. Farmingdale State flexed its muscles in its semifinal matchup as well, running over No. 5 St. Joseph's College (L.I.) by the same 6-0 score. Both teams earned first-round byes.

The Knights had the most All-Skyline First Team members with five. Seniors Marissa Segreto (West Islip, N.Y.) and Vanessa DiSilvio (Massapequa, N.Y.) both made the First Team for the first time in their careers. They were joined by freshmen Bridget McKeever (Wallkill, N.Y.), Destiny Ribadeneyra (Maybrook, N.Y.) and goalkeeper Mary Riley (Newburgh, N.Y.). Freshman Allison Jones (Merrick, N.Y.) earned herself a spot on the All-Skyline Second Team.

Segreto enters Saturday's championship game on a seven-game scoring streak, which includes 10 goals over that stretch. She has set career-high totals with 40 points, 16 goals and eight assists this season, all team-highs. Ribadeneyra is tied with Segreto for the team lead with eight assists. Riley has a conference-best nine shutouts, and has 14 total victories this season. She also has the conference's best goals-against average at 0.60, and is second with a .807 save percentage.

The Rams were the only team to land more student-athletes on the 2014 Skyline Women's Soccer All-Conference Teams than the Knights. They had a total of seven players on the All-Skyline Teams, Taylor Howard was named Skyline Rookie of the Year, and Andrea Kiefer earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. They had four players on the First Team, and three on the Second Team.

Howard has 13 goals in 18 games for the Rams, including four game-winners. She has also had four multi-goal games. Kiefer anchors a Farmingdale State defense that has recorded six shutouts and has yielded just six goals in conference play. She was also the Defensive Player of the Year back in 2012.

Saturday's contest will begin at 11 a.m. at Purchase College, kicking off Saturday's portion of the Fall Festival. The Skyline Women's Volleyball Championship will take place at 1 p.m. and the Men's Soccer Championship will follow the women's game at approximately 1:30 p.m.
