NEWBURGH, N.Y. –The Mount Saint Mary College women's tennis team (1-4, 0-1 Skyline) was defeated by Bard College (5-1) by a score of 7-2 on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action at the Mount Saint Mary College Tennis Courts.

The Knights dropped all three doubles matches before beginning to battle back in singles play. Senior Jaimee Lubniewski (Middletown, N.Y.) defeated Bard's Julia DeFabo, 6-2, 6-0, at the top flight, while sophomore Breanna Scott (Highland Falls, N.Y.) took down Lia Soorenian at No. 4 singles, 7-5, 6-2. However, the Knights were unable to pick up a victory in the other four flights to drop the 7-2 decision.

The Knights return to action on Sunday, Sept. 29, when they travel to SUNY Cortland to do battle with the Red Dragons. The match is set to kick off at 12:00 p.m.
