Robe’s Goal Proves to be Enough

Box Score WAYNE, N.J. – In an exciting contest on Monday evening, the Mount Saint Mary College women's soccer team was able to edge the William Paterson Pioneers, 1-0. The Knights move to 4-3 and the Pioneers are now 3-3-2.

The deciding goal came in the 72nd minute of play as Mount sophomore Shanice Robe 9valley Stream, N.Y.) was able to spin the ball off of the post into the left side of the net.  It proved to be enough in the final minutes of play.

Mount senior goalkeeper Jacquelyn Mancini (Valley Stream, N.Y.) did not need to make a stop for MSMC.

The Knights return to action on Thursday, September 26 when they host RPI at home. The game is set for 7:00 p.m.
