FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College women's tennis team (3-10, 2-3 Skyline) was eliminated from the Skyline Conference Championships on Wednesday, after falling to Farmingdale State College (11-2, 5-0 Skyline), 5-0, in the tournament semifinals.

Farmingdale's doubles teams combined for just one loss in Skyline matches entering today's match. Senior Jaimee Lubniewski (Middletown, N.Y.) and sophomore Breanna Scott (Highland Falls, N.Y.) put up a good fight, but fell to Jessica Sickles and Priscilla Signore at No. 1 doubles, 8-4. Senior Jillian Torre (Bohemia, N.Y.) and junior Alissa Niad (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) were defeated, 8-2, at flight-two doubles by Michelle Fredericks and Alex Bentz. Sophomore Katie Conroy (Middletown, N.Y.) and junior Sarah Pimienta (Wurtsboro, N.Y.) suffered an 8-0 loss at No. 3 doubles against Tatiana Rosamilia and Denise Liguori.

The Rams grabbed victories at flights two and six to clinch the victory in Wednesday's semifinal match. Conference tournament matches end when one team picks up the necessary amount of wins to earn the victory.

The Knights finish the season in fourth place in the Skyline after a 2-3 record against conference opponents. They conclude the fall with a 3-10 overall record.
