NEW YORK, N.Y. – Sophomore forward
Shanice Robe (Valley Stream, N.Y.) scored the only goal the Knights needed as the Mount Saint Mary College women's soccer team (9-4-0, 4-0-0 Skyline) shut out The College at Old Westbury (8-6-0, 3-2-0 Skyline), 1-0, in Skyline Conference action on Friday at President's Stadium on the campus of the New York Institute of Technology.
Robe scored the eventual game winner off her own rebound in the 41st minute of Friday's win. The goal was her team-leading 13th and her 28th point of the season. In just her second year, she sits only 11 goals shy of the program career record of 59.
Senior goalkeeper
Jacquelyn Mancini (Valley Stream, N.Y.) pitched her fifth shutout of the season, and her third in four games. She is yet to allow a goal against a Skyline opponent this season.
The Knights outshot the Panthers, 25-7, on the afternoon. They also held a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.
The Mount returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 13, when they host the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Skyline competition. The game is set to kick off at 1 p.m. Sunday is also
