NEWBURGH, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College men's lacrosse team dropped a 16-11 decision to Richard Stockton College in a hard fought game. Dropping their Skyline Conference opener moves the Knights to an even 4-4 overall. The Ospreys are also 4-4 on the season, but now stand 1-0 in Skyline play.
Stockton freshman Nick Bologna (Glen Gardner, N.J.) scored back-to-back goals in the opening two minutes of play to give the Ospreys a quick 2-0 lead. Another Stockton goal put them up by three, before Mount junior
Andrew Pullen (Farmingdale, N.Y.) netted a goal at the 6:43 mark to get the Knights on the board. Pullen added his second of the day to close out the first quarter and bring the Knights to within two, 4-2.

Matt O'Donnell (Wallkill, N.Y.) sandwiched a Stockton goal in the second quarter, before the Stockton used a 4-0 run to jump ahead by five, 9-4. As halftime approached Mount freshman
CJ Cardo (Merrick, N.Y.) buried a shot to bring the Knights to within four at the break.
An even third quarter kept the Knights trailing by four at the start of the fourth. With 10:22 on the clock, O'Donnell collected a loose ball in front of the net and placed his shot past Stockton goalkeeper junior Tim Walcott (Toms River, N.J.). After O'Donnell followed with his fourth of the night, Pullen finished a pass from Findlay to bring the Knights to within two, 13-11, with just over five minutes to play. Stockton closed out the game on a 3-0 run to extend their lead and preserve the win.
Pullen led the Mount with four goals and one assist, while O'Donnell also added four goals on five shots. Findlay chipped in with four points (1G, 3A) and Cardo tallied two goals. On the defensive end, sophomore

Shawn Cobstill (Oneonta, N.Y.) recorded 22 saves.
Bologna led all scorers with five goals and three assists. Sophomore Drew Wright (Wallingford, Pa.) and senior Brian Santoleri (Berwyn, Pa.) each tallied hat tricks, while Santoleri also added two assists. Faceoff specialist, freshman Eugene Isola (Monroe Township, N.J.) was key in the win, going 20-29 at the face. Walcott, the goalkeeper, made eight saves to earn the win.
In a non-conference contest, the Knights will host Misericordia on Wednesday, March 28. The game is set to begin at 4:00 p.m., with a women's game to follow
