FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – Mount Saint Mary College sophomore
Vanessa DiSilvio (Massapequa, N.Y.) scored two goals on Saturday to help her team to a 2-1 victory over Farmingdale State College in a key Skyline Conference contest. The Knights improve to 9-2-1 overall (4-0-0 Skyline), while the Rams fall to 7-6-0 overall (2-2-0 Skyline).

Farmingdale answered in the 72nd minute, however, as senior Corine Magee (Mastic, N.Y.) finished off a feed from sophomore Andrea Kiefer (Centereach, N.Y.) to tie the game at 1-1.
Less than eight minutes later, DiSilvio came up with the game-winner, an unassisted tally in the 80th minute.

By defeating Farmingdale, the defending Skyline champions, Mount Saint Mary remains unbeaten in conference play and at the top of the standings. The Knights will host Maritime College in a Kicks For Cancer game on Tuesday, October 9. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
