Knights Cap Perfect Regular Season as Robe Sets Scoring Record

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Mount Saint Mary College freshman Shanice Robe (Valley Stream, N.Y.) scored three goals for the fourth time in the last five games, leading the Knights to an 11-0 victory over NYU-Poly on Sunday.  The Knights improve to 14-2-1 overall and complete a perfect Skyline regular season with a mark of 8-0-0.

Robe opened the contest with an assist, finding freshman Nastassja Rowe (Monroe, N.Y.) for the opening goal in the 18th minute.  Sophomore Nicole Gianotti (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) followed with a tally in the 21st minute to make it 2-0, Knights.

In the 24th minute, Robe found the back of the net for a record-breaking goal.  Her 25th marker of the season broke the previous school record for goals in a season of 24.  Robe celebrated the record with two more goals, hitting paydirt in the 35th minute and then again in the 36th minute.  The rookie has now scored 13 goals in the team's last five games.

Freshman Courtney McCarthy (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) found the back of the net in the 38th minute for her firs collegiate goal and sophomore Renee Schultz (Waldwick, N.J.) followed with her first goal of the year in the 44th minute.  The Knights carried a 7-0 advantage into the half.

Sophomore Vanessa DiSilvio (Massapequa, N.Y.) struck in the 50th minute and senior Lindsey Oro (Holtsville, N.Y.) scored in the 57th minute to make it 9-0, Knights.  Oro followed with an assist to sophomore Jordyn Catapano (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.), who scored her first goal as a Knight.  Sophomore Julianne DiDonato (Fishkill, N.Y.) wrapped up the scoring by putting home a corner kick from sophomore Marissa Segreto (West Islip, N.Y.) in the 87th minute.

Mount Saint Mary wraps up the regular season with a non-conference tilt against NYU on Tuesday.  The game is set for 7:00 p.m. at Gaelic Park in the Bronx.
