With the game deadlocked, 6-6, in the early minutes of the half, the Mount used an 8-0 run to break away from the Bearcats. Mount sophomore
Rachel Perrone (Poughquag, N.Y.) converted a layup at the 16:19 mark that started the run for the Knights and a jumper from senior
Amanda Horvers (Kingston, N.Y.) capped the run and put the Knights up, 14-6.
Mount senior

With the Mount ahead by 17 at the 13:50 mark, Baruch College senior Shamika Boyce (Brookyln, N.Y.) banked in a layup to pull the Bearcats to within 15. The Knights shot 12-14 from the free thrown line in the second half to seal the win. A strong defensive effort also limited Baruch to just 30.0-percent from the field and 5.9-percent from behind the three-point arc.
Once again, senior
Jen Mocanu (Belford, N.J.) led the Knights with 19 points, in addition to grabbing six steals.
Rachel Perrone added 12 points and six boards, while Horvers contributed 14 points and six rebounds.
Baruch College freshman Iyana Abrams (New Rochelle, N.Y.) was the only Bearcat to reach double-digit scoring, with 11 points. Fellow freshman Sheridan Taylor (Peekskill, N.Y.) led the Bearcats on the glass with a game-high ten rebounds.
Looking ahead, the Knights will travel to the Sage Colleges for a Skyline Conference battle. The game is set for 7:00 p.m.
