POMONA, N.J. - The Mount Saint Mary College men's lacrosse team dropped a Skyline Conference game (17-5) to Richard Stockton College in a game that spanned two days due to weather. With the loss the Knights move to 2-10 overall and 0-5 in Skyline play. The Ospreys improve to 3-9 on the season and 2-2 in Skyline Conference games.

Play began on Saturday night before it was stopped with 18 seconds remaining in the first quarter because of lightning. The Ospreys got on the board two minutes into the game and then both teams remained scoreless for the next nine minutes. Freshman Matt O'Donnell (Wallkill, N.Y.) buried a feed from junior Pat Byrne (Milford, Conn.) with 4:48 left in the quarter to even the score at 1-1. Stockton scored two additional goals to close out the quarter and take a 3-1 lead when play was stopped. The Ospreys scored two goals less than two minutes apart to start the second quarter of play and extend their lead (5-1). Mount sophomore AJ Silver (Jersey City, N.J.) passed the ball to classmate Logan Sollami (Cornwall, N.Y.) who netted a goal with 5:09 left in the half to bring the Knights to within three. The Ospreys would finish the half on a four goal run that gave them a 9-2 lead going into halftime.

Stockton College attackman Drew Flagler scored three goals during a 5-0 run for the Ospreys that spanned the entire third quarter. The Knights got back on track by scoring two consecutive goals to open the fourth quarter of play. First, Sollami struck with an unassisted tally and then sophomore Andrew Pullen (Farmingdale, N.Y.) scored off a feed from Sollami at the 10:22 mark to make it a ten goal game (14-4). Stockton answered back with a 3-0 run before O'Donnell moved the ball to Pullen who then scored his second goal with 29 seconds left.

Sollami led the Knights with two goals and one assist for a three point performance. Pullen chipped in with two goals and O'Donnell added one goal and one assist. Byrne and Silver each dished out an assist in the game. Freshman goalkeeper Shawn Cobstill (Oneonta, N.Y.) finished the game with 21 saves and freshman defender Matt Buonocore caused a team-high four turnovers.

The Knights will play their regular season finale on Tuesday, April 19 against Montclair State University. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
