NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Mount Saint Mary College sophomore #Andrew Pullen# (Farmingdale, N.Y.) scored eight goals to lead his team to a 15-4 victory over Green Mountain College in non-conference action on Friday. The Knights snapped a four-game losing streak and improved to 2-5 on the year, while the Eagles dropped to 0-1.

Pullen scored three times during an opening 5-0 run for the Knights, including a man-up goal at the 11:22 mark. Freshman #Matt O'Donnell# (Wallkill, N.Y.) had the other two goals during the run, both on feeds from junior #Patrick Byrne# (Milford, Conn.). After Green Mountain got on the board at the 9:48 mark, Pullen scored again to give the Knights a 6-1 lead at the end of one quarter.

O'Donnell, Pullen, and junior #Jim Cardinale# (Glens Falls, N.Y.) would all tally in the second quarter, sending the Mount to half time with a 9-4 lead. The Knights would hold the Eagles scoreless in the second half and cruised to a 15-4 win. Pullen added three second half goals, while Byrne, freshman #Stephen White# (Schenectady, N.Y.), and freshman #Matt Buonocore each added a single score.

Freshman goalie #Shawn Cobstill# (Oneonta, N.Y.) made 12 saves to earn his second victory of the season.

After Pullen's game-high eight points, O'Donnell was next with five points via three goals and two assists. Byrne chipped in with a goal and three assists, while White and Buonocore each finished with a goal, two assists, and 11 groundballs. Sophomore #Logan Sollami# (Highland Mills, N.Y.) added a pair of assists.

The Knights return to action on Wednesday as they'll open Skyline Conference play against Maritime College. The game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Kaplan Field.
