ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College women's volleyball team made quick work of Bard College in non-conference action on Thursday evening, winning in straight sets (25-16, 25-9, 25-11). The win was the 11th in a row for the Knights, who now stand at 15-9 overall.
Senior
Teresa Sorrentino (Bellerose, N.Y.) and freshman
Taylor Woegens (Bogota, N.J.) led the attack with seven kills each. Both players also recorded four service aces. Junior
Mary Ann Raftery (Long Beach, N.Y.) and junior
Katharine Tischer (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) each added six kills, while senior
Heather Schaeffer (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) led the team with 13 digs. Junior
Lauren Halverson (Patchogue, N.Y.) recorded 23 assists in two sets, while freshman
Samantha Sagendorph (Bellmore, N.Y.) added 10 assists in one set.
Mount Saint Mary will face Purchase and St. Joseph's in Skyline action on Saturday in Patchogue. The Knights play Purchase at noon and St. Joseph's at 2:00 p.m.
