WAYNE, N.J. – Trailing two sets to one, the Mount Saint Mary College women's volleyball team won the final two sets on Tuesday to defeat William Paterson University in five sets (26-24, 25-27, 25-27, 25-15, 15-11) in non-conference action. The Knights have now won 10 straight matches to improve to 14-9 overall.
Junior
Lauren Halverson (Patchogue, N.Y.) led the way for the Knights with a career-high 48 assists and a career-high 30 digs. Freshman
Taylor Woegens (Bogota, N.J.) tallied 20 kills and 27 digs, both career-highs, while senior
Teresa Sorrentino (Bellerose, N.Y.) posted a career-high 18 kills to go along with 21 digs. Senior
Heather Schaeffer (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) also tallied a new career-high with 34 digs.
The Knights will head to Bard College for a non-conference match on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Mount Saint Mary will face Purchase and St. Joseph's in Skyline action on Saturday in Patchogue.
