JERSEY CITY, N.J. - The Mount Saint Mary College women's soccer team emerged winless from this weekend's Liberty Cup, hosted by New Jersey City University. The Knights lost to the hosts on Friday, 3-0, before falling to Ramapo College on Saturday, also by a score of 3-0.
On Friday evening, New Jersey City junior Julia Caseres (Union, N.J.) scored all three goals for the Gothic Knights. She tallied her first goal of the night in the 6th minute, heading home a cross from sophomore Gabrielle Clarke (Edison, N.J.).
The score remained 1-0 through the half, but it was Caseres who struck again just eight minutes into the second half. The junior put the game away with another header in the 68th minute.

Megan Cotta (Brick, N.J.) made eight saves in defeat, including three different saves on breakaway opportunities.
Cotta returned on Saturday to make 12 saves against Ramapo. The Roadrunners got a pair of goals from senior Kimberly Bruno (Middletown, N.J.), who also assisted on the game-winning goal by senior Melissa Pupo (Newton, N.J.).

Taj Anthony (Middletown, N.Y.) and sophomore defender
Lindsey Oro (Holtsville, N.Y.) were named to the all-tournament team.
Mount Saint Mary returns home to host Western New England College on Wednesday, September 15 at 6:00 p.m.
