Donahue Strikes Again, Sends Mount to Final

CORAM, N.Y. – Mount Saint Mary College freshman Jenna Donahue (Brookhaven, N.Y.) scored her second consecutive game-winning goal, this time helping the Knights to a 2-0 upset victory over top-seeded St. Joseph's College in the Skyline Conference Tournament.

A scoreless game with limited offensive opportunities reached the 83rd minute before Donahue finally found the back of the net with the go-ahead goal. The freshman knocked home a feed from freshman Brigit Burgio (Riverhead, N.Y.) to put the Knights on the brink of their first-ever appearance in the Skyline Conference championship game.

Freshman Allie Kleine (Vernon, N.J.) added an insurance goal in the 88th minute and the Knights went on to a 2-0 victory.

Senior goalkeeper Megan Cotta (Brick, N.J.) made three saves to keep the Golden Eagles scoreless. It was her third consecutive shutout.

The Knights (12-9) advanced to Saturday's Skyline Conference championship game against Farmingdale State College. The second-seeded Rams will host the upstart Knights in Farmingdale at a time to be announced.
