ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Competing in the ECAC quarterfinals at St. John Fisher College on Wednesday night, the Mount Saint Mary College women's volleyball team lost in three close sets (20-25, 24-26, 18-25). The Knights finish an excellent season at 21-11.
Freshman
Kaylene Pennings (Minisink, N.Y.) led the Knights with nine kills on 16 attempts. Juniors
Teresa Sorrentino (Bellerose, N.Y.) and
Jacqueline Nadeau (Uniondale, N.Y.) each added eight kills.
Sophomore
Lauren Halverson (Patchogue, N.Y.) tallied 27 assists to go along with a pair of kills and seven digs. Junior
Heather Schaeffer (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) posted a team-high 11 digs, while senior
Elizabeth Douress (Rahway, N.J.) tallied a team-high three blocks.
The Knights finish their season at 21-11 and set a new school record for wins in a season.
