The next two goals came back-to-back in the thirteenth and fourteenth minutes of play. The first was a rebound shot by junior Colleen Capadora (Goshen, N.Y.) following a cross from freshman
Allie Kleine (Vernon, N.J.) that bounced off the goalkeeper. The next came from junior
Erin McKeon (Watertown, Conn.) as she stole the ball outside the box and shot a rocket to the far post.
In the second half, junior
Colleen Ryan (Point Lookout, N.Y.) scored the fourth goal of the night as she took a long shot from outside the box that soared right over the head of the goalkeeper. The fifth and last goal came from freshman
Tara McDermott (Tewksbury, N.J.) on a penalty kick in the sixty-eighth minute.
Maritime goal keeper Andria Thornton (Saugerties, N.Y.) had eighteen saves in the game while the Knights recorded an impressive thirty-nine shots.
As this game concluded the regular season for the Knights, they'll advance to a Skyline Tournament quarterfinal game at SUNY College at Old Westbury on Saturday. The time of the game is to be announced.
