FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - The Mount Saint Mary College women's soccer team dropped a Skyline Conference contest to Farmingdale State College on Saturday by a score of 2-0. The Knights drop back to even on the season at 6-6 (3-2 Skyline), while the Rams improve to 9-2 overall (4-0 Skyline).
The Rams went ahead early as sophomore Melissia Elie (Brentwood, N.Y.) scored in the 10th minute following an assist from Christina Merrill (Levittown, N.Y.). Sophomore Jillian Lasota (Massapequa, N.Y.) increased Farmingdale's just before the half, putting home her own rebound from 10 feet in front of the net. The Rams outshot the Knights 9-2 in the first half.
Farmingdale would preserve their advantage throughout the second and finished the day with a 24-5 advantage in shots. The Knights struggled to find offense and recorded just two shots on goal.

Up next for the Mount is a Columbus Day weekend trip to California. The Knights will take on Holy Names University on Saturday, October 9 in Oakland, California. Mills College will host the Knights on Sunday, October 10.
