PURCHASE, N.Y. – Mount Saint Mary College took control of the game with an early 14-0 run and never looked back, cruising to a 66-37 victory over Purchase College in Skyline Conference action. For the Blue Knights, now 12-4 overall and 9-1 in the Skyline, it was a nice bounce back effort after their first conference loss on Saturday. The Panthers tumbled to 5-10 overall and 3-7 in the conference.
The Blue Knights seized an early eight-point advantage and led 16-8 with 14:28 remaining in the first half. Over the course of the next five minutes, Mount Saint Mary scored 14 unanswered points as the Panthers went 0-for-7 from the floor. Back-to-back three-pointers by freshman
Charneice McCullough (Wyandanch, N.Y.) gave the Mount a 30-8 lead with just under ten minutes remaining in the half.
Purchase closed to within seventeen in the second half, but never really threatened to get back in the game. Mount Saint Mary emptied the bench and eased to the twenty-nine point win.

Shannon Sangster (Syracuse, N.Y.) finished with a game-high 13 points. Senior
Chrissy Zrowka (Brick, N.J.) and junior
Jess Tice (Altamont, N.Y.) also reached double figures with 10 points each. Sophomore
Amanda Horvers (Kingston, N.Y.) tallied 8 points and 13 rebounds.
No player reached double figures for the Panthers who shot just 26.4-percent for the game. Purchase was 1-of-15 from three.
Up next for the Mount is a home date with St. Joseph's College. The Blue Knights will host the Golden Eagles on Saturday, January 23 beginning at 1:00 p.m.
